The Grange Nursing Care Home provides high quality care for up to 26 people. Located in a rural village setting just outside Basingstoke, The Grange is a peaceful, homely and picturesque environment offering a mix of long-term, respite and convalescence care.
Originally a farm house, The Grange has been a nursing home since 1987. With views across the rolling hills and meadows of the Hampshire countryside, it’s a true ‘home from home’ for the residents that choose to live with us.
The highest standards of nursing care
Our professional, highly trained nursing and medical staff respect everyone’s lifestyle choice and dignity. The Home Manager, also a qualified nurse, oversees operations to ensure residents receive 24/7 personal care from a skilled and experienced team. We can accommodate people with dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and those living with long-term illness or the effects of a life-changing injury.

The happiness and wellbeing of our residents is at the heart of everything we do. Everyone has a choice in how they want to live their life. Our priority is to respect each person’s wishes and ensure everyone feels safe, secure and well cared for. We encourage residents who are able, to remain active and independent, and interact with others in our community. We promote social interaction through our activity programme for those who wish to get involved.

The Grange
Welcome to our Basingstoke Nursing Home
At The Grange Nursing Home the welcome is warm and friendship flourishes. We enjoy being part of a rural community and the views provide a fantastic backdrop. We offer healthy, home-cooked meals with residents’ favourites making regular appearances on the menu. The Grangers, our resident’s bar, is popular space for evening relaxation. It’s a space where residents can sit and chat or reflect on their day whilst taking in the stunning views across the meadows.

Room Facilities
Each room has a single bed, wardrobe, drawer units, mirror, armchair, basin, television, and a call bell. We can accommodate couples and residents are welcome to bring personal effects such as photographs, soft furnishings, to make themselves feel at home.

Activity programme
Our activity coordinator puts together a varied programme of activities to fill the days with interest. We often receive visits from local choirs and volunteer groups thanks to strong links forged with the village community. Schools put on seasonal and musical performances.
Although pets are not permitted in our homes, we arrange visits from a variety of animals and birds to interact with residents.
A range of creative activities are available in designated activity areas, including painting, arts, crafts, baking and games. During the warmer months, our beautiful gardens provide the setting for outdoor activities, including gardening where green fingered residents get involved in a range of tasks from planting annuals to cultivating our vegetable patch.

Overview of services
Our expertise is gained from looking after people for more than 30 years; ensuring their health and wellbeing needs are met, treating everyone with dignity and respect. We are passionate about delivering the best quality care possible; whether that is in one of our residential homes or in the individual’s own home.
We strongly believe that providing quality care involves not just health care and nursing abilities; but also by supporting our staff and providing the right working environment. Through regular surveys, visits from the management team and input from our carers, we work hard to ensure the level of care provided meets our high standards and the needs.
